how to calculate quorum

our current quorum for a valid proposal vote is is two-thirds of members voting or abstaining in some way. here is how that is calculated:

• step 1: take current [number of members] and multiply by 0.67

  • (so: a ⋅ 0.67)

• to double check that this is above/equal to two-thirds of the group, round to the closest integer of the result, and divide it by current [number of members]

  • (so: 27 x 0.67 = 18.09; therefore we round to 18. we then do 18 / 27 = 0.6667% which is equal to two-thirds of the group and therefore quorum).

  • (this step is necessary because sometimes the integer you round to is actually below two-thirds of the group. for example: 26 x 0.67 = 17.42 but, when you divide 17/26, the result is 0.654%)
